During warm summer months horses can be bothered by flies, gnats and other pesky insects:

detachable neck and hood, which are attached to the rug with hook and loop closures
the hood is made of sturdy mesh with darts which keep the eyes free
features a nylon insert in the front of the rug and the top of the neck, which prevent rubbings
belly flap and three surcingles with elastic ends
